This is Reachify Innovations Private Limited’s yearly check of charvax.com for dark patterns: design and wording that trick or pressure you into a choice you did not mean to make. Of the 13 patterns, 10 were not found. We found three; two are corrected, and what we are doing about the other one is set out below. Until that is done, we do not declare this site free from dark patterns.

1. What the rule asks

Rule 4(15) of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, as it applies from 1 January 2027, asks every e-commerce entity to comply with the Guidelines for Prevention and Regulation of Dark Patterns, 2023, to carry out a yearly self-audit to ensure that its platform is free from dark patterns, and to display a certificate to that effect. This page is our own self-declaration of that audit. No regulator or third party has audited or approved it.

2. What this covers

It covers the pages of charvax.com through which Reachify Innovations Private Limited offers and sells CharvaX: the home page, pricing, the comparison, platform and crew pages, the quote and payment steps, booking and the qualifying questions, the leak calculator and our legal pages. Each was checked against the 13 dark patterns described in the Guidelines.

It does not cover the interactive demo, the sample store and its admin opened from “Explore the demo”, which runs on sample data and takes no orders. The reviews and figures in the sample store are part of the demo; they are not reviews of CharvaX.

3. The 13 patterns

  1. 1. False urgencyNot found

No countdowns, timers, stock counts or “only a few left” claims. The founding rate for the first 5 stores is counted from paid orders, and it comes off our pages once five stores have paid.

  2. 2. Basket sneakingNot found

Your quote holds only the plan you choose and any add-on your own answers asked for, each with its price shown before you pay. Nothing is added at the payment step.

  3. 3. Confirm shamingNot found

Declining is worded plainly, for example “Cancel” and “Skip — just show me the pricing”, with no guilt or ridicule.

  4. 4. Forced actionNot found

Every price is published without a sign-up, a call or your contact details. The payment form asks only for what we need to send your confirmation and agreement.

  5. 5. Subscription trapFound and corrected

The monthly plan’s renewal and how to cancel it (30 days’ notice; the final month is charged in full) were stated only in our Refund Policy. They are now also shown at the payment step, beside the payment buttons and in the payment form.

  6. 6. Interface interferenceFound; change scheduled

Cookie settings start with Marketing and Analytics switched on for a visitor who has not chosen, and the panel opens only from a link at the foot of each page. We will switch both off until you choose, with one choice bar that does not block the page, by 1 March 2027.

  7. 7. Bait and switchFound and corrected

For the Operated plan, the monthly price on our quote page was the founding rate while the confirmation email and the service agreement stated the standard rate. Since 2 October 2026 the quote, the email and the agreement state the same monthly rate.

  8. 8. Drip pricingNot found

The setup fee and the monthly plan are shown on the quote before you pay, and no charge is added at the payment step.

  9. 9. Disguised advertisementNot found

We publish no customer reviews or testimonials. Figures from a sample store are labelled as samples, and the founder’s own words are signed with the founder’s name.

  10. 10. NaggingNot found

Nothing opens unless you click it: no pop-ups and no repeated prompts.

  11. 11. Trick questionNot found

No form asks a question worded to mislead, and no box is ticked for you.

  12. 12. SaaS billingNot found

There is no free trial that turns into a charge. The monthly plan starts only after your store goes live, is billed separately from setup, and its renewal and cancellation terms are shown at the payment step.

  13. 13. Rogue malwareNot found

This site loads no ad-injection or pop-up scripts and installs nothing. Its third-party scripts are Razorpay Checkout (at the payment step), Meta Pixel and Google Analytics (as your Cookie settings allow), and Vercel’s own visitor analytics and page-speed measurement.
